Breakbulk & Project Cargo Conference

One World Shipbrokers will again be attending the Journal of Commerce Breakbulk & Project Cargo Conference in New Orleans in April.

Justin Archard will be joining 2 panels to lend his knowledge and market analysis to the questions of market dynamics and developments in a segment buffeted by recent volatility. For nearly a decade MPP Owners and Operators have borne the repercussions of an irrational fleet expansion fertilised in the immediate post GFC era of easy finance and zero interest rates and as result shippers have enjoyed a long and steady period of low freight rates and negotiable terms. Post covid this changed very abruptly and as the primary drivers that led the market to rapid historical highs ebb away and freight rates fall, new factors have emerged to influence market dynamics. Together with a panel of shippers and carriers, Justin will be providing his insights and opinions in a session headlined as – ‘Whose Market is it Anyway?’

In another panel session – Deciphering the Multipurpose Market – Justin will be presenting the latest results (Edition 9) of the Market Sentiment Index (MSI) and together with Analysts from Toepfer Transport and JOC the session will seek to analyse the data and discuss what it might mean for the MPP / Heavy Lift market in the coming months and years ahead.
